Thank you Richard for your swift replay. I will see it I can "catch" these server code in the coming days.

By the way all your assumptions are correct.

I have the same errors, but my wing(wo)man with nVidia cards also have this error. If done by a CPU then it is validated. So I think it has something to do with the GPU app.
Only Gamma-ray pulsar search #3 v1.11 (FGRPopencl-nvidia) have this error (at my side).

@ tjreuter,

Could you possibly unhide your host(s) at this project, or give us a direct link to the one you're having problems with?

It would help us to give you more specific advice, and it would also help us (and the project) to understand more clearly why this problem happens in the first place.

Rigs should be visible now Richard. However I have checked the Gamma-ray pulsar search out. (At Einstein@home, they work though).

Hello,

Is this project still working?
I don't see any changes yet and I am not getting new work on several PC's with different set-up's.
Thank you for your time.

Hello, if I looked correct on the server status there should be work, however I get these messages:

4/28/2014 7:31:11 PM | Albert@Home | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
4/28/2014 7:31:11 PM | Albert@Home | Requesting new tasks for NVIDIA
4/28/2014 7:31:13 PM | Albert@Home | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
4/28/2014 7:31:13 PM | Albert@Home | Project has no tasks available

Is my card, a Quadro FX 4600 (driver version 332.21, CUDA version 6.0, compute capability 1.0, 768MB, 661MB available, 346 GFLOPS peak), no longer usable here?

It did until a few weeks ago.

Thanks.

Than perhaps I can use the GPU better with Einstein.
Will try an nVidia GPU to see if that works better, later in the week when it becomes less warm. I have now an ambient temperature of 33°C in the attick where to farm is, so I am powering down them for a few days.
I will keep you posted, but if you have tips for me then off course they are welcome.

Well overnight I did a PAS on Albert with 75% steady GPU use with 7 cores free and a steady 70% load when 1 core free.
Now I have Gamma-ray PS and with 7 cores free or 1 core free GPU load is 0% most of the time and goes to 20% in about every 1.5 minute for a second.
So the GPS are not efficient on GPU yet. I have HD5870 1GB on Win7 professional and BOINC 7.0.64.

Thanks Bikeman,

1. could be, but I don't know how to check that.
2. I have 8 cores on this rig (2 Xeons) and use 7 for for FightMalaria and thus 1 for Albert or Einstein.
I can free one more core, but can not test it now as Einstein is running a PAS, takes about 5 hours on HD5870, with a steady GPU use of 75%. I will test Albert tomorrow night with 2 cores free.
3 GPU is running always, I knew that.

When running Albert@home I see two things:
1. the percentage done in the BOINC task manager changes with a solid ratio of 5%.
2. the GPU is almost not used every few minute I sea a GPU use of 24% and then 0% for 2-3 minutes. That is not efficient, it means that an Albert WU runs mainly on the CPU. It is a Gamma-ray WU.

Hello,

I would like to ad a pc with an nVidia card to Albert@home but if I get in BOINC manager and attach to project, then Albert@home is not in the list.
How can I then add a new pc to the project?
Thanks

Go to the front page, and read the instructions under 'Join Albert@Home'.

Thanks Richard, I should have thought that myself first :)

This is not a problem or bug but there is no other thread possibility then news.

The FGRP (gamma ray) via ATI are finished in around 1350 seconds on a old HD5870 card.
On cpu via Einstein@home (also gamma ray, I thus I think the same)it takes my pc around 8200 seconds to finish. So a good improvement.

I see that Albert@home is running fine on my Win7 system with ATI but at hte same time it is using 0.964CPU.
While Einstein@home is using only 0.2CPU (with nVidia though).

Is this normal for A@H to use this CPU, then perhaps make an app that is using multiple CPU to speed things up?
14) Message boards : Problems and Bug Reports : Catalyst Control Center doesn't work anymore (Message 111867)
Posted 25 Feb 2012 by tjreuter
Post:
Hello,

I have updated to the latest ATI drivers and installed BOINC 7.0.18 to crunch the Albert ATI jobs.
I followed the instruction on ATI site, to remove the previous drivers first, boot, install, etc. Albert and Milkyway run fine now, but the Catalyst Control Center will not start anymore.
Have more people this and/or does anyone know ho to resolve it?

Thanks,
TJ
