I have one task still running which is stuck with 100%. I did stop BOINC and now after restarting it is still there and 'running'.
I did save the slot files so tell me what you need.

So in the meantime I wanted to play a game. It did crash during starting so I did a system reboot.
That kicked the hanging task. I did already update the project so you can see the result when you follow the previous posted link.

I have one task still running which is stuck with 100%. I did stop BOINC and now after restarting it is still there and 'running'.
I did save the slot files so tell me what you need.

The last line of stderr is 'clled boinc_finish' but it still runs as I type.

When I did quit BOINC because of this WU it showed a runtime of more than 12 hours. It did restart with 11 something. Last checkpoint on 9h23m processor time.

Well since I run other projects too, I have always this runtimes.
Right now one WU is sitting and hogging with 100% done. I did already save the slot files.

stderr tells at the end 'called boinc finish'.

But it still runs.

Well, that is not too big a problem. If the estimated time is way off for some machines, BOINC is going to correct the DCF with each wu, so after a couple of units it will become better and better. Sure, it is good if the project is not too far off with their estimate. But that also depends to the machine. For some it is too long, for others it is too short. Some are the lucky ones, they are spot on.

P.S.: And after all, this is a beta test project. So we are not only here to test the apps and report crashes, but also to give the developers a big range of runtimes so they can make better estimates when all this goes over to Einstein.

Hello Alex,

what we crunch you can see in the names which the programs have.
S6LV1 means, we crunch data from search six, which are also being crunched over at Einstein.

But we are testing a different search method. Called LineVeto, hence the 'LV' in the name.

So yes, we crunch 'old' data. But we do it in a totaly different way which should turn up different results for better conclusions.

Somebody will show up how can explain this better.

As for that you didn't have anymore invalids since about two weeks. That's nice and promising, but others still have them. If that percentage is still too high in the eyes of the developers, they will continue to improve the code.

I did just check your computers, the one on top of the list does have one invalid with OpenCL 1.21. And if you check all your other tasks you will find some where it is valid for You, but which was sent to three PCs at all because for one it was invalid.

One more thing, when the actual tested apps are finaly released, the devs may start improving the speed of them.
So there will be a new set which have speed improvements which needs testing again.

So it is basically never finished. Mybe some time till there are new apps out.
That will be published over the frontpage news, which will come to you over the News tab in BOINC Manager.
