Albert@Home has been "stopped" (scheduler, daemons etc.) for infrastructure work and will probably remain so over the weekend. BM |

will probably remain so over the weekend. OK, speaking as a technician: no one specified which weekend ... But back to serious talks; I have uploaded 3 wu's and hope I can report them before the deadline elapses. |

Sure I'm hoping that too but we have to keep in mind that this is a beta application with all the pro and cons. Nevertheless good luck on the work that needs to be done. |

I had a 10 day supply and still working on them, should I just go ahead and throw them out or what. I understand RL problems but not to the point that a 1 minute message can't be dropped by someone. |

Sorry, last week really got out of hands. A third of us is sick@home, another third sick-but@work, and work on some unforeseen problems stretched into long planned and announced outages that couldn't be shifted. We got only the highest priority things done and running (like Einstein@Home). If I can't get the work on Albert@Home finished tomorrow (Monday Feb 3), I'll start the project up again in the previous state, which would mean losing about a day of work already done, but get the project running again. I am sorry to hear your team has not been well, I hope you all feel better soon. For what that's worth I would suggest that your team keeps moving forward with the changes you have begun on Albert, don't lose time by restoring to the previous state. I am hoping that the updates include the new BPR5 app w/ Kepler optimizations. I have a GTX670 and a GTX660Ti on Win7 x64 running GPUGrid that I will switch over for a week or 4 and see how they do against my 7950, 7850, and GTX480. Crunchers - As much fun as we have optimizing hardware and BOINC configuration, and as much as we like to be point competitive (wait - we get to help real scientists do real work at the same time??? high-five!) let's please remember that this is a test environment whose intended purpose it to TEST new things for the team before they promote to Einstein. |

Well ... I think, albert does not have an urgent reason to be online. We are not doing any scientific research so a longer outtime will not have any influence to the science project. I can live with the fact that albert is down because einstein is up and running and sending work. And if the team cannot do the work planned for the last week ... well, then it will be done later. Albert is a beta project ... unexpected things can happen. And for the ill people: get well soon. Stephan |

Agreement. Albert is a test project, keep testing. For SCIENCE! Get well soon all |

I can only echo the recent sentiments: 1. This is a beta project. Things happen. I see no reason to go backward unless that is the best way to do the beta work for Einstein. 2. Get yourselves well. That is way more important ;-) and thank you for the update! |

Looks like they're online again. At least I got some (very) urgent WUs from Albert. Thanks to anybody who had the time to fix some problems. Now we can start doing our jobs and crunch. |
