BOINC 6.10 and all of 6.12 don't do OpenCL detection, that's BOINC 6.13 only so far. But 6.13 is far from stable.

No chance to participate here without that buggy stuff?
OK, NNW then.

Edit:
Wron thread, I'll start a new one, sorry.

Even with Boinc 6.13.12, 64 bit, Linux , I get
[17:32:13][3191][ERROR] Failed to get OpenCL platform/device info from BOINC (error: -1)!
[17:32:13][3191][ERROR] Demodulation failed (error: -1)!

This is even tho boinc seems to recognize the ATI card as an openCL capable GPU:

29-Nov-2011 17:09:10 [---] ATI GPU 0: ATI Radeon HD 5800 series (Cypress) (CAL version 1.4.1457, 1024MB, 965MB available, 4176 GFLOPS peak)
29-Nov-2011 17:09:10 [---] OpenCL: ATI GPU 0: Cypress (driver version CAL 1.4.1457, device version OpenCL 1.1 AMD-APP-SDK-v2.5 (684.213), 1024MB)
29-Nov-2011 17:09:10 [---] ATI GPU is OpenCL-capable

Scientific Linux 6.1 (CentOs 6 based), 64 bit

Hi!

Just for the records, I think in my case the problem was a missing 32 bit version of libGLUT . Blessed are those who can read ... developer release notes :-)

Ok, I finshed the first two OpenCL WUs and both failed.
The first one was probably due to old ATI driver software.
The second one appeared to be running fine and then failed.
My test machine 64Bit Linux, Catalyst 11.11 a,d SDK 2.5

As a side note: The GPU app uses around 100% CPU as well.

Regards,

Hi!

Yeah, seems to suffer from a problem I see as well: BOINC will terminate the task prematurely as it exceeds the max allowed runtime. I assume this is a problem in the work unit generation.

Hi again,

Three more WUs have been terminated after almost exactly 3935s. At least the error is reproducable.
