Your personal background.
I used to be a software engineer working for a telecom billing system vendor, but then in 2012 I swapped Dilbert-space for Hilbert-Space, so to speak, and joined the Max-Planck-Institute for gravitational physics (Albert-Einstein-Institute) in Hannover, Germany. This is the institute that is crucial in running Einstein@Home.

I'm now living in Wunstorf, a lovely small town near Hannover.

In my spare time I'm also doing amateur astronomy, especially variable star observations. I'm a member of the local astronomy societies "Volkssternwarte Paderborn" and "Volkssternwarte Hannover" and the American Association of Variable Star Observers (AAVSO).
Your opinions about Albert@Home
IMHO it's one of the most promising and rewarding BOINC projects. Note that it will produce a scientific result in any case: either the detection of gravitational waves or a new "upper bound".

Keep up the good work, guys.
